Terms of Use
Effective: August 5, 2026 · Last updated: August 5, 2026
These terms govern your download and use of Power Right Button. Consumer rights that cannot legally be waived remain unaffected.
1. Agreement
By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using Power Right Button (the “Software”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.
2. Seller and contact
The Software is offered under the Power Right Button brand (“we”, “us”). Contact: support@powerrightbutton.app.
3. Purchase and license
Subject to payment of the price shown at checkout and compliance with these terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software on Macs you own or control, subject to the rules of the store or distribution platform used for purchase.
Your purchase is a license to use the Software, not a transfer of ownership or source code. Taxes, currency conversion, family sharing, device limits, and download availability may be determined by the payment or distribution platform.
4. Permitted use
You may use the Software for personal or commercial file-management work. You are responsible for ensuring that you have authority to access, create, read, or copy information relating to the files and folders on which you use it.
5. Restrictions
Except where applicable law expressly permits it, you may not:
- redistribute, resell, sublicense, rent, or make the Software available as a hosted service;
- circumvent purchase, signing, or platform protections;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code;
- use the Software to violate law or the rights of another person;
- misrepresent the Software as your own product.
6. File operations and backups
Power Right Button performs actions only when requested. New-file actions are designed not to overwrite an existing filename, but software, storage, permissions, and operating systems can fail. Maintain appropriate backups and review important outputs. A checksum reports the bytes read at that time and does not by itself guarantee that a file is safe, authentic, or free from malware.
7. Updates and compatibility
We may provide fixes, improvements, or changed features. We do not promise perpetual updates or compatibility with future macOS releases. The current release requires the macOS version stated on the product page. Updates may be subject to these terms or replacement terms presented with the update.
8. Third-party services
Apple, Cloudflare, GitHub, stores, payment providers, email providers, and other third parties operate under their own terms. We are not responsible for services we do not control. References to third-party names do not imply endorsement.
9. Refunds
Refunds are handled according to mandatory consumer law and the policy of the store or payment provider used for the purchase. Contact that provider first when it controls the transaction, or email support if no provider route is available.
10. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Software is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, suitability for a particular workflow, or that every Finder location will be accessible under macOS security rules.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for lost profits, data, business, or opportunity arising from use of the Software. Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the Software or the minimum amount required by law. Nothing limits liability that applicable law forbids us to limit.
12. Termination
The license ends if you materially breach these terms. On termination, stop using and delete the Software. Provisions that by their nature should survive — including ownership, disclaimers, limitations, and dispute provisions — remain effective.
13. Governing rules
These terms are governed by the law applicable in the seller’s place of establishment, without overriding mandatory protections or forums available to consumers in their country of residence. The parties will first try in good faith to resolve disputes through support.
14. Changes
We may update these terms for future downloads or releases. The date above identifies the current version. A change does not retroactively remove rights already granted unless required by law or accepted by you.
